Coaches

CoachErik Krahn received his B.A. from Hobart College, double majoring in European Studies and Studio Art. Since graduating from college, Krahn has worked in Germany, Switzerland and all across the United States. Prior to joining Brooks in the fall of 2023, he was substitute teaching in Marblehead, Mass. He has coaching experience in soccer and cross-country skiing, including leading his former high school's cross-country ski team to a combined state title. Krahn lives off-campus in Wenham, Mass. with his wife Laura and dog Augie. In his free time he enjoys running, mountain biking, skiing and cooking.

CoachAlesandra Powell joined Brooks in 2026 as an English Teacher. She/her grew up in Massachusetts and California, before attending Smith College and graduating with a degree in Classical Studies and English. During her undergraduate career, she published her first short story in CRUSH magazine and wrote her first novel The Coquí Song for her honors thesis. Powell is particularly interested in creative writing and works by women of color. She lives on campus, and in her free time, she enjoys reading, playing the guitar and crocheting for family and friends.
