Health & Wellness Center

Brooks School's Health & Wellness Center equips our health professionals with a space that will allows them to serve a myriad of health services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Wellness Center is staffed by a registered nurse at all times. A registered nurse in charge of student medications is also on-site Monday through Friday mornings.

While we hope that our students will steer clear of being ill and needing to spend lots of time in this facility, we are [pleased by the way it serves] students in need of a wide range of care.

Head of School John PackardFrom preventative care to urgent medical attention, the Health & Wellness Center serves our entire student community offering:

  • assessment, diagnosis and treatment/management of both acute and chronic medical issues
  • on-site lab work
  • flu clinics
  • management of students' medications
  • Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing (ImPACT)
  • coordination of students' off-campus appointments
  • conference-room space for educational events.

Physical Therapy, On Campus

Through our Health & Wellness Center team, Brooks offers physical therapy services to students on-campus twice a week. Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Bill Gordon, PT, of Gordon PT, will see students right in the Athletic Center.

Where do students sleep?

Brooks' Health & Wellness Center offers eight beds (four private, single rooms; two double rooms) for students with a fever or who are feeling ill.

The facility, adjacent to the academic building, also offers a large common area with a television and board games.

It’s a cozy, relaxing lounge area allowing students to get out of their beds even if they're not well enough to go back to school. In the Health & Wellness center, they can be up and about a bit and feel more at home.
