We continue to monitor the coronavirus and update our response and policies based on guidance from the Department of Public Health. Information is changing rapidly, and as Spring Break nears, we encourage all families to be informed with the latest travel warnings and precautions outlined by the Center for Disease Control and government travel notifications.

If your child’s plans have changed since our last communication, please let your child’s advisor know as soon as possible. We want to be as helpful as we can be in ensuring all students have a place to go during the break. While Brooks does not run or sponsor any of the following programs, we share these as options for students who may not be able to travel home.

Program options during spring break

As noted in Head of School John Packard’s recent parent letter, we want to emphasize our hope that all of us traveling internationally will take every precaution possible in order to ensure that all students will be able to return to classes after Spring Break on Thursday, March 26. We will not be able to house students in need of any type of quarantine, and our ability to continue academically with students who are not able to be here on campus is limited. To do all we can in partnership with you to avoid such circumstances is our goal.

We continue to work with students on prevention of illness, practicing good hygiene, and making sure students who are ill get proper attention from a medical provider. If you have questions, please contact Associate Head for Student Affairs Andrea Heinze.
