Brooks School’s boys and girls soccer teams will both play in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) championship Class B quarterfinals tomorrow and their coaches say they’re gearing up for some great competition!
Boys Soccer
Coming off of an 11-3-4 record this fall, the boys 1st soccer team earned the second seed in the tournament. Brooks will host their game on November 12 at Dusty Richard Field at 2 p.m. against Vermont Academy, seeded seventh.
Head Coach Matt Carroll ’05 is in just his second season at Brooks, but has already led a significant turnaround for the team, which missed the playoffs last year.
“I couldn’t be more proud of this group,” he said of the current squad. “They’ve poured everything into this season — every practice, every game — and truly earned this opportunity. We’re thrilled to keep it going and compete for a championship.”
Girls Soccer
Girls 1st soccer will hit the road for their tournament game on November 12 in Simsbury, Conn., against second-seeded Ethel Walker School. Brooks’ squad was named the seventh seed after a season that saw them go 9-3-6 on the year.
“It’s an awesome accomplishment to make the tournament four years running,” said Head Coach Jason Braga. “We look forward to playing the best teams in New England.”

Championships at Brooks
Brooks School will also be hosting the NEPSAC boys soccer championships on November 16 in the following locations on campus:
- Class C Final: 10 a.m. — Dusty Richard Field
- Class D Final: 10:30 a.m. — Girls 1st soccer field
- Class B Final: 12:30 p.m. — Dusty Richard Field
- Class A Final: 1 p.m. — Girls 1st soccer field
