Dear parents of the class of 2020,
Like most independent schools, our tuition dollars only cover 69 percent of Brooks School’s operating expenses. Brooks thus relies on income beyond tuition to fully support programs and daily operations. Brooks Fund gifts are vital to meeting this need for additional income.
Brooks Together is a focused, current-parent initiative for the Brooks Fund. As the title suggests, it allows current parents to come together as a collective group and show their support for the Brooks Fund. Typically, Brooks Together is launched in the fall; however, this year we are moving the timeline to the spring. Ultimately, the goal is to have the largest current parent participation ever.
This year, Brooks is doing something truly special.
As sixth-form parents, we are asking you to participate early in Brooks Together through the inaugural Sixth Form Parent Gift. The mission of the Sixth Form Parent Gift is to reach the highest level of parent participation as we celebrate our child’s tenure at Brooks during this milestone year.
Our goal for the Sixth Form Parent Gift is to top 90% participation by Winter Break.
- A high rate of parent participation amongst our class will send a powerful message to all Brooks parents on the importance of giving back.
- It will also send a message of appreciation to the faculty and leave a legacy of support for future Brooks students.
You can take this opportunity to make your cash or pledge contribution in honor of your child, or a teacher, mentor or coach who has had a particular impact on your child’s Brooks experience. You should have received a request for support and pledge information in the mail. This request is for a single gift to Brooks. If it is more convenient, you can make a pledge today and then fulfill that pledge in the spring. You can also make an online donation. Every gift makes a difference!
A volunteer will also reach out in the coming weeks to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration and support of this important parent effort.
