Brooks field hockey has built a strong and dominant program within the Independent School League and in New England during the last decade.
With an emphasis on “team first,” the field hockey program strives to teach student-athletes to play with tremendous effort, discipline and sportsmanship as our highest goals. Learning every day to develop our strongest physical, emotional and mental approach to the game, the team’s success is determined by the strength of the team experience and the ability of veteran player to provide mentorship to the younger girls.
A number of Brooks players have also earned league honors during the past five years, including All-League players, All-New England players, one MVP of the league and two MVPs of the New England tournament.
Several Brooks players participate in the U.S. Futures programs as well as regional club teams, giving many students the opportunity to attend the U.S. Field Hockey Festival held annually in November.
Brooks field hockey has also served as a successful step for those interested in playing field hockey at the Division I and III college levels. During the past few years, Brooks players have gone on to play at Boston College, Colgate University, Trinity College, Bowdoin College, Middlebury College, Bates College, Union College, Kenyon College, Connecticut College, Northeastern University, Brown University and Colby College.
