Balancing academics and extracurriculars is flat-out fun, and there's lots of opportunity for it at Brooks...We believe that weekends exist to allow for a balance of time to relax and time for fun.
Students can find that through going out to a dance, joining a 3 v. 3 basketball game, heading off campus for an activity or spending time with friends in the dorm.
Brooks' Student government representatives and school prefects work with Brooks' faculty student affairs team to provide an active social calendar that offers everyone in our diverse student body with a range of fun things to do on Saturdays and Sundays.
Campus Hangs
Of course, informal activities for students to enjoy with teachers and dorm families are always on the agenda. Brooks often hosts faculty-versus-students trivia nights and basketball games as well as:
- Watch parties for big sporting events
- "Skate with a Date"
- Rock concerts with student bands
- Dances and themed special events
- Bingo with prizes
- Cultural celebrations, including the Asian American Association's Moon Festival and other affinity group activities

Off-Campus Outings
- Escape room "questing" at Boda Borg
- Dave & Buster's for games and food
- Bowling nights
- Trips to local towns' restaurants and malls, including Target and Wal-Mart
- Movie theater visits
- Multi-school dances
- Apple picking at Smolak Farms
Dancing on the quad, or playing ball on the lawn and stuff like that, we use those times to really bond together.”

Feeling Quiet?
Most weekends include the opportunity to just relax in an "open house" at one of the resident faculty homes.
While chilling with friends, students typically bake cookies or brownies with teachers and play board games for a cozy night in.

getting loud
Cheering on Brooks' teams during under-the-lights games at home on the turf field is another activity students often enjoy.
On those nights when the community rallies, school spirit is in full effect!
