The Brooks School Athletic Complex includes three expansive facilities, a turf field and 10 beautiful grass fields.

Brooks' athletic center — which gives all of our athletes the chance to train at the highest levels as well as a venue for Brooks' basketball, ice hockey, wrestling and volleyball teams to practice and compete.

The Danforth Gymnasium — a rowing and squash center adjacent to the athletic center in the middle of campus. This unique facility hosts tournaments and gives crew teams the ability to practice year-round.

The Demoulas Family Boathouse — built to house 16 boats features state-of-the-art technology and storage for crew teams at the edge of campus, on the shores of two-mile-long Lake Cochichewick.

Athletic Center

Within Brooks' 50,474 square-foot athletic center is a hockey rink that doubles as an indoor turf practice space in the fall and spring.

The building also boasts the McVeigh Basketball Court and a second regulation-length court with additional practice hoops, the William K. Poirot Wrestling Room, locker rooms and an athletic training room.

The athletic center also houses a fully-equipped fitness room that overlooks the basketball courts, offering free weights, strength machines, treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bikes and ergs. This space is home to the strength and conditioning program as well as available for student use during free periods.

danforth Gymnasium

A multi-purpose facility, the Danforth is home to our squash and crew teams. Featuring nine international-size squash courts, the gym frequently hosts, events from national college squash tournaments to local charity matches.

The facility's spacious spectator gallery gives fans and friends plenty of room to view matches and cheer on our top-ranked teams.

The Danforth Gymnasium also houses Brooks' rowing center for in-season and out-of-season training. Multiple ergs and two eight-person, still-water rowing tanks give crew the opportunity to practice indoors when cold or inclement weather prevents use of our campus' Lake Cochichewick.

The Danforth Gymnasium also features a golf simulator and a putting green for members of the golf team to use for practice during and outside of their season.

Demoulas Family Boathouse

The 7,500-square-foot Demoulas Family boathouse replaced the longstanding Lyman Boathouse and Holcombe Boathouse in 2023.

In addition to state-of-the-art storage for the racing fleet and nearly 100 years of photographs and artifacts, the boathouse offers Brooks’ and visiting spectators a 900-square-foot viewing area overlooking the four-lane Lake Cochichewick race course.

trustey memorial field

The 75-by-120 yard Anna K. Trustey Memorial Field gives our student-athletes the opportunity to practice and compete in all weather conditions, and at night, thanks to an exceptional sports lighting system and artificial turf, that is underlaid with a Brock shock-absorption pad to minimize risk of concussions and other injuries.

The terraced seating area can accommodate thousands of fans during high-attendance events such as New England tournaments and night games, but because the bowl seating is set naturally into the adjacent hillside, even with smaller crowds it maintains an intimate atmosphere.

The field is also a frequent setting for weekend activities, such as bubble soccer or flag football, and the lights allow students to enjoy these outdoor games at night, too.

Extensive Fields & Outdoor spaces

Our 10 grass playing fields stand in close proximity, offering teams the chance to easily watch and support each other, while tennis players enjoy our eight outdoor, hard-surfaced courts.

Brooks golfers practice at The North Andover Country club, located a few minutes from campus and the Renaissance Golf Club, designed by Brian Silva, in neighboring Haverhill, Mass., while cross-country teams make great use of a 3.1 mile course that winds through campus.
