Bravo, Beauty and the Beast Cast!

Audiences enjoyed twice the fun watching Brooks' winter musical, thanks to the double cast that performed Beauty and the Beast over three days last week!

See hundreds of photos from the show at brooksschoolphotos.com.

With different actors playing "Belle," "Lumiere," "Cogsworth" and many other roles on alternating days of the February 20–22 run in Brooks' Center for the Arts, students had the opportunity to show off two imaginings of the same tale, inspired by the Walt Disney Pictures 1991 animated film.

"Our approach to it will be pretty classically Disney in a lot of ways, because audiences and performers don't tend to enjoy when you mess with it too much," Director of Theater Meghan Hill said in December when the cast first selected Beauty and the Beast as the musical they wanted to perform this winter. "But there is a little room for creative expression and places where we can make some choices that feel unique to Brooks."

And that they did — as you can see in our following collection of photos by Visual Arts teacher Tabitha Robinson — with all the:

Suspense . . .

Scares . . .

Romance . . .

And dancing that "Beauty and the Beast" fans expect and adore.

Bravo to the hard-working and talented casts, who celebrated following the finale with a trip to IHOP for late-night pancakes!
