 | School announcements, many of which require parent action, will be listed in a timely manner. Jewish High Holidays 8/31/2010
Pre-season begins just before the Jewish High Holidays. The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, starts at sundown on Wednesday, Sept. 8. This holiday is generally observed that evening and the following day, but others may choose to observe more.
Jewish students who are planning on attending early sports and observe the holiday should be in touch with the Deans Office and your coaches about their plans.
Students wishing to obsereve Yom Kipper, which starts at sundown on Friday, Sept. 17, need to fill out a religious observation form from the Deans Office, as well as communicate their plans with coaches, teachers and dorm parents (if applicable). Students who choose to fast on Yom Kipper should take a minute to talk with the health center of your advisor about this activity.

Online Student Information, Updating Parent Contact Information 7/21/2010
For ease of communication, it is important that parent contact information, any temporary addresses or phone numbers, and emergency contacts are up-to-date and accurate. Contact updates are included in summer web postings from the dean of students’ office. Changes during the year may entered electronically at the following link: http://familyaccess.inresonance.com/brooks/.
Password information and directions are sent directly to parents by e-mail during the summer before a student enters Brooks. Contact information changes may also be given by phone or e-mail directly by contacting Victoria Matheson, assistant to the deans of students, at 978-725-6300 ext. 3286.

RAVE Notification System, Student Cell Phone Numbers 7/21/2010
As part of the school’s crisis communication plan, all students are required to maintain a current cell phone number as part of their contact information. Updates may be given directly to the deans office. Additionally students with text-enabled phones are required to register their phones with the school’s emergency text service, which permits mass communication as may be required of emergency situations, or to inform students of significant events on campus (power outage, for example). To register:
• Go to link: https://www.getrave.com/login/brooksschool
• Enter Brooks email account as username. The site will then email login information.
• Follow the instructions in that email to login to the site and add cell phone number.
