 | Andy HirtDirector of Admission (978) 725-6272 Growing up in the Philadelphia area, Andy attended Christchurch School in Virginia, where he was a four-year starter on the football and baseball teams, a proctor and member of the honor council. After majoring in English at Wittenberg University in Ohio, Andy joined the Peace Corps, serving in Kazakhstan. He subsequently began an admissions career working for all sorts of schools: urban, rural, college, boarding, day, lower, middle, upper. Andy's first directorship came at Asheville School, where in five years the school grew 18 percent despite its increased level of selectivity. Andy and his wife, Ali, live on campus with their young son, Brody, and their two dogs, Gus and Norman. |
 JP BurlingtonAssociate Director of Admission (978) 725-6270 JP grew up in New Jersey. His boarding school career began at age 10 when he attended St. Thomas Choir School in New York City before heading to Trinity-Pawling School, where he captained the varsity soccer team and played varsity squash and baseball. After Trinity-Pawling, he attended Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., majoring in music and spending a great deal of time in the admission office and the gym where he worked as a student athletic trainer. His first job out of college was with the Golf Channel, where he was bitten by the golf bug. After a couple of years traveling around the country with the Golf Channel, he went back to Trinity-Pawling and worked in the admission office, coached soccer, squash and golf, and was a dorm parent. In 2007, JP moved to the Westover School, where he spent five years in the admission office and coached squash and golf. At Westover, he also met his wife, Megan, and started a family: son Joseph is a year old. The Burlingtons also have a 10-year-old dog named Jeter. JP writes “I love to play golf and tennis and most other sports. My family loves the water: beaches, pools, lakes, you name it.” They live off campus in North Andover. |
 Rodney DiClementeAdmission Office Administrative Assistant (978) 725-6272 Rodney joined the Admission Department in June 2003 as an administrative assistant. Rodney and her husband live in Andover and have two children and two grandchildren.

Peggy will greet you when you arrive and make sure you are comfortable during your Brooks visit. Peggy has three daughters and enjoys playing golf when she is not helping out with her five grandchildren. |
 Robina EgertsonAssociate Director of Admission, Director of Financial Aid (978) 725-6273 Bini has been at Brooks since 1992, and is the associate director of admission and financial aid. She has a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.A. from Middlebury College. She lives in Andover with her husband and their two children, and in her free time likes sports, reading and doing crossword puzzles. |
|  | Jaime Gilbert '04Assistant Director of Admission (978) 725-6296 Jaime Gilbert '04 is the girls' 1st soccer team head coach, as well as an assistant basketball coach and an intern with responsibilities in several areas. In the classroom, she co-teaches oratory with Alex Costello, while also assisting the admission office and the diversity and inclusivity director. Jaime earned her B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in communications, and exercise and sports science. At UNC, she was a four-year letter-winner on the varsity women's soccer team, which won the NCAA division I national championship in 2006. She lives on the first floor of the Merriman dorm. |
 Sarah GurryAssociate Director of Admission (978) 725-6300 ext. 3266 Sarah C. Gurry arrived at Brooks in 1989. Sarah earned a B.S. at the University of Vermont and an M.Ed. at Harvard. She spends the summer in Kennebunkport, Maine, where she catches up with the many Brooks families who either live or spend the summer in the area. An avid golfer, Sarah often plays with her husband and four children. |
 John McVeighAssociate Director of Admission, Science Teacher (978) 725-6262 John McVeigh joined the Brooks community in 2003 as a chemistry teacher after leaving the Intel Corporation to follow his heart into teaching and coaching. He currently serves as the associate director of college counseling, in addition to teaching chemistry and physics and serving as the head coach of the boys basketball team. A Presidential Scholar, Academic All-American, and captain of the basketball team at Merrimack College, where he earned a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry, John went on to earn an M.S. in environmental chemistry from Duke University in 2000. John lives on campus with his wife Candice, their son, Jack, and their daughter, Kelly. |
 Jenelle RiesFifth Form Dean, Associate Director of Admission (978) 725-6292 After attending Brooks as a student, Jenelle returned to campus in 2003 and is now an Associate Director of Admission. Outside of the office, she is the head coach of the girls ice hockey team, coaches softball, and acts as the sixth form head. Jenelle earned a B.A. from Holy Cross, where she served as the captain of the girls hockey team, and a M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts. She currently lives in PBA dormitory with her husband, Dave, who coaches the boys ice hockey team, and their daughter, Ellie. |
 Alexander Skinner ’08Assistant Director of Admission (978) 725-6291 Alex Skinner was born and raised in Haverhill and graduated from Brooks in 2008, where he won the Ashburn Award (Athletic Excellence) and was captain of the varsity basketball and tennis teams. After Brooks, Alex earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Boston College, continuing his athletic career as a four-year member of the tennis team and its captain in 2011-2012. Obviously, sports have always been a big part of Alex’s life (his father is athletic director at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell) and he continues to play both basketball and tennis regularly. When asked for a bit of personal information, Alex responded “…for pets I have an African Grey (parrot), a Chihuahua, a Shih Tzu, and a cat.Good Will Hunting is my favorite movie though I do enjoy a good romantic comedy.” In addition to his work in admissions, Alex will be head coach boys’ varsity tennis and will coach thirds basketball, and he’ll be living in Russell House. |
